What is Nutritional Therapy?
Over the years I have learned the importance of nutrition and how that impacts our health, quality of life and well being. As a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner I focus on the five foundations of health: digestion, blood sugar regulation, fatty acid balance, mineral balance and proper hydration. An initial interview, nutritional assessment questionnaire (NAQ) and functional evaluation allow the practitioner to identify imbalances in the body and organ systems. The body is then supported through a whole food, nutrient dense diet, lifestyle changes and supplementation. Adding in HTMA to my practice, I can now more accurately help my clients pinpoint deficiencies and make more specific recommendations to get them on their path to vitality faster.
Why can’t I just talk to my doctor about this?
You should and information provided by myself is for educational purposes and does not replace the need for a qualified medical provider. With that being said, I respect our medical professionals and continue to work in the medical field, but providers are not adequately trained in nutrition nor do they have the time to educate their patients in importance of nutrition and disease prevention. Appointment times are limited, you get to say very little and we live with a healthcare system that is focused on symptom control and not prevention.
This is where Nutritional Therapy comes in.
I take the knowledge that I have learned as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, personal experience and my own research and apply that in a real world setting that fits my clients' needs and lifestyle. I work with my clients to design individualized nutrition and lifestyle recommendations based on their current diet, habits and mindset, because lets face it, we are not one size fits all.

Sessions can take place either in person or virtually.
You can choose to meet just once or sign up for a 3 or 6 month package.
Either way, your journey begins with a 90-minute session where we’ll discuss your history, current & previous health struggles, and work together to get to the root cause of your health concerns. With this information I am able to create a plan that is individual to you, your goals and will fit to your lifestyle.
After our first session together, you’ll receive a document with notes and a detailed description of your personal plan, and any other resources (recipes, links, guides, etc.) I think will be valuable to you.
In subsequent sessions we dive further into the root of your health concerns using various techniques such as a HTMA, nutritional assessment questionnaire and functional evaluation to tap into the body's innate intelligence to determine which organ systems are under stress and learn ways to begin to heal the body.
