"Life is a journey, not a destination" Ralph Waldo Emerson

My Mission

My mission is to educate and empower others to make informed decisions to better their life. The people of this great country are getting sicker than ever with the number of chronic illnesses and autoimmune conditions on the rise.  The choice is ours and we have the power to change our lives for the better.

MY STORY

Hey there!

I'm Laura.  I'm a foodie, wife and fur mom to 2 dogs (Marley & Stella).  I LOVE traveling and exploring new places while also revisiting a few favorites ;). When traveling I enjoy finding local restaurants then incorporating those new foods and flavors into my own home cooking. How I cook and the foods I eat has been an ever changing process and even more so in the last decade. In 2015,  after being unable to conceive, I was diagnosed with endometriosis. I was fortunate to have found holistic minded physicians that guided me to drastically change my diet and also through my own research I found a way of eating and lifestyle that I carry with me today!

Prior to this I was eating a lot of processed foods. I would still indulge in a 32 oz fountain Mountain Dew at times, pizza, bread sticks, fried food, beer, you name it and I ate it. Luckily I have always been good about eating veggies. I was also eating mostly vegetarian at the time and transitioning to becoming a vegan. After changing my diet I cut out gluten, most grains, excess sugar, soy, processed foods, dairy and incorporated more animal products into my diet and eventually adapted an AIP (Autoimmune Protocol) paleo lifestyle.

This was not an easy process…BUT it has been SO worth it!!

I have learned so much valuable information along the way. Throughout this journey I realized how sick my body was once I started to feel better. My GI symptoms that I thought were normal drastically decreased and my mental health also improved.

Its such a profound moment when you realize how good you can actually feel!

I have learned to source sustainable meat and eggs and actually feel more connected to the food I eat than I did before. I love washing my farm fresh eggs and cows are still one of my favorite animals.

While I am still a work in progress and have an adaptive diet that now includes quality dairy and some grains, I have dedicated myself to learn as much as I can about holistic health and help others achieve their health goals.
